LA RIDICULA
I am in a mood to call Laxmi Sahgal that ( don’t be surprised
if it rhymes with la Dracula)– because of the utter cheapness of
character she has displayed in the last few days, especially given
the fact that her defeat was a foregone conclusion. In spite of
that, she persisted in strutting shamelessly on the political
stage enjoying her brief tryst with publicity and fame ; egged on
in no small measure by the media who inexplicably always makes
sure that the communist camp gets remarkable publicity totally
undeserved, given their ever dwindling support base. Leading
papers like the ‘Times of India’ didn’t miss the opportunity
to publish in bold black print, how Sahgal sought to cast a slur
on the fair name of Veer Savarkar ; what makes her nerve to
question him all the more ridiculous and shameful is that it was
the same Veer Savarkar who inspired Netaji Bose to escape to Japan
and organize the INA with the help of Rasbihari Bose who led the
‘Hindu Mahasabha’ in that country - the same INA in which
Sahgal served. Neither Netaji nor Veer Savarkar is around to check
this woman when she pours forth her bile – this woman who was at
best only a pygmy compared to the stature of those giants – this
woman, who thinks she can do whatever she wants to or say whatever
she deems fit, just because of her association by default with
Netaji. Surely, he himself would have hung his head in shame to
see her behave like a street woman ! For all her seniority, she
displayed an amazing lack of a sense of dignity by letting herself
be used as a political pawn by the Left camp. It is women like
Sahgal who should have been branded and burnt as ‘witches’ by
the Inquisitionist – anyway, like her defeat in the presidential
elections, this too is a foregone conclusion that she will be lost
into oblivion as time rolls on, very much unlike the patriot Veer
Savarkar who shall forever remain a revered, legendary figure in
the annals of India’s history.
Arise Hindus! Awaken Bharat!
