DEALING WITH MODERN POWER
POLITICS
By S.P. Attri (USA)
1. For a span of several decades now, India has been
presenting itself to the world especially to the UN, as an
"Uncommitted," if not an out and out "Neutral"
country, using at times other labels for itself, such as
"Non- Aligned" to stand out as an outstanding example of
a country that is not aligned either to the Western or to the
Communist Block. During this same span of time, India has also
been vociferously exposing the olfactory obnoxious record of
Pakistan's State Sponsored Terrorism and has expended considerable
amount of energy in futily trying to get Pakistan declared as a
terrorist state.
2. That these energetic, animated Indian diplomatic moves, have
failed miserably in dealing both with the UN and with the West,
forces us to pause and ponder regarding the worthiness of the
present Indian diplomatic course of action. Because there is a
world of other choices also that are available to us, it is worth
cogitating whether we need to alter our course.
3. First it must be recognized that the UN is a collection of
self-centered, ethno-graphic, egotistical, and ethno-centric
nations that are flat out, not at all concerned with the moral
excellence of either Neutralism or of any of its Varations or with
the consequences of Terrorism of any sort unless this terrorism
happens to be in their own backyard and affects their own skin.
Many of these UN nations have also Economic and Military ties with
the Big Powers and because of that affiliation, they tend to tow
their line.
The Western Nations also, in general, have strong economic,
cultural, and military ties with the US and, therefore, they also
tend to tow the line of the Big Brother , the US.
When we come to the US, we notice that the US have been
consistently following a Foreign Policy that they have devised for
themselves, especially when it comes to dealing with India and
Pakistan. It is also worth observing that the US policy towards
India and Pakistan is exactly the same policy that Eisenhower and
John Foster Dulles invented in the fifties and has not changed one
bit since its inception, regardless of who is in the White House
and which political party happens to be holding the reins of
power. This US policy is not expected to change either, unless
India ram-rods a change to it, by unhesitatingly demonstrating a
few indisputable capabilities and competencies of its own.
4. Pakistan has been willing to play ball with the US, India has
not been. Pakistan has provided to the US, important military
bases and facilities for intelligence gathering. India has not
obliged the US similarly and has preferred to stay Non-Aligned and
Non-Committed. This message of essential Indian difference from
Pakistan, has not been lost either on the US Congress or on the US
Presidents.
It is also no exaggeration to state that Pakistan has been the
US's Pet Dog from Day One. You don't kick your Pet Dog just
because he barks excessively in the morning or because he bites a
few neighbors. You rapidly learn to live with these uncomfortable,
irritating nuisances of your pet dog. That is why the US, after
all these decades, has now learned to live with Pakistani
inconveniences and its nuisance behavior and has been consistently
giving a Nelson's Eye to Pakistan's Terrorism, its clandestine
acquisitions of nuclear materials and missile technology,
precisely because of its status as US's Pet Dog. It can also be
observed that any technology that India tries to buy openly in the
Free International Market, gets the severest scrutiny and
screening from the US for precisely the same reason in reverse,
that India is not the Pet Dog of the US and, therefore, has to be
kept muzzled.
Because these annoyances and inconveniences of your pet dog are
expected to be tolerated by any sincere Dog-Lover, they do not
constitute strong enough motivations for the US to nudge even a
wee bit from their long-established Foreign Policy, which embraces
a strong tilt towards Pakistan, and a slant away from India.
5. It is true, of course, that the US practises democracy as best
as it knows how and would like to see it expand in the world but
this code of democratic conduct, does not count for very much when
it comes to India and its Democracy. Never mind the repetitive
utterances of the slogans of Indian Democracy by the US Presidents
and its Congress and their patting of the backs of Indian
Diplomats, together with the praise of Indian Democracy. These are
purely perfunctory gestures, designed for diplomatic consumption
and for passing on the rapturous sound effects of these "Next
To Worthless" slogans. Those who are enraptured by these
casual, cursory, and superficial slogans are confirmed suckers.
Why? Becaise these perfunctory slogans have very little
down-to-earth value in real life.
6. What has some solid value is the comprehension of an American
National Habit or Weakness, which is conveniently camouflaged by
these bogus, silly, superficial, and perfunctory slogans, and that
American National Habit is the American Respect for Strength and
Competence above everything else. To put it simply, Strength and
Competence, counts far more in American heart and mind than the
principle or practice of somebody's democracy. Of course, you will
never get any American to admit to this truth and reality, but it
is a solid and substantial reality and we Indians better pick it
up fast to understand what is really going on in this world of
ours. It is precisely because of this particular American National
Characteristic that Communist China which has a large military
machine and has repeatedly shown its willingness and ability to
use it, enjoys so much prestige and respect in the US and
repeatedly gets the MFNS (most favored nation status) in trade
from the US inspite of its communistic system of government.
7. India, on the other hand, inspite of its high-principled and
conscientious democratic system, has not been able to get its foot
in either the MFNS status door or in the US permission or
concurrence to join the Pacific Club of nations or to get a seat
in the Security Council. These dishonorabe disrespects to India
are, in addition, to India's already awful diplomatic record of
failures in the UN to get either a respectable acceptance for
itself as a Non-Aligned Nation or to get Pakistan declared as a
Terrorist State, by the UN. We Indians may justifiably ask
ourselves who are we kidding, except outselves?
So what is the method for India to get itself out of its peculiar
predicament, solve its diplomatic problems and achieve its
national objectives in the international arena?
Firstof all, India needs to understand that it is totally futile
for it to strain its lungs, trying to mouth itself as a
Non-Aligned Nation or to get Pakistan declared as a Terrorist
state. As we have observed above, these attempts have not worked
for us in the decades-gone-by and are not likely to work for us in
the decades-to-come either, for the reasons cited above, reasons
which are completely beyond India's control.
8. What has a chance of working for us, are the sort of things
that are well within India's own control and capability. For
instance, instead of trying to get Pakistan declared as a
Terrorist state, a better choice for India is to conduct a Proxy
War of its own inside the Pakistani provinces of Sind and NWFP
(Northwest Frontier Province). The Sindhi people, especially the
Mohajirs, are sick of the Pakistani Central Government and are
totally fed up with the Pakistani Army, which is dominated by
Panjabis and which the Sindhis hate like heck. The Sindhis want to
rid themselves of Panjabi shackles and want to construct a
government of their own choice, for themselves, in the province of
Sind.
Similarly, the Pushto-speaking Pathans living in the NWFP province
of Pakistan, have been trying for decades, to make a Pakhtoonistan
out of the Pakistan's NWFP province.
India needs to quickly grasp the political sensitivities and
susceptibilities of the Sindhi and the Pakhtooni people and move
in quickly with substantial moral and material support to the
Sindhis and to the Pakhtoons, to produce tangible results.
The Pakistani province of Balochistan is also restless for
independence from Pakistan, though somewhat to a lesser degree.
However, we need not rule out Balochistan, for possible future use
as a proxy war theater.
Many land and sea access routes to Sind exist and NWFP is also
accessible. It is not much of a trick for India to provide potent
material support to these two Splinter Pakistani Groups. For
decades, Pakistan has been carrying on a proxy war against India
in Kashmir and Panjab. If India returns the compliment by doing
the same service to Pakistan, then Pakistan can't really complain.
Imitation is the best kind of flattery and Pakistan will get the
"Flattery Message" in double-quick time. This
retaliatory message of Flattery, will impell Pakistan to feel the
pain of devastation on its own soil, and will prompt and persuade
it to halt its horrific terrorism and proxy wars against India.
9. Once India demonstrates that it can take care of its own
affairs via effective action and can competently conduct a proxy
war against Pakistan, it will dramatically alter Indo-American
relations and the American perceptions of India. Sure, initially
there will be a few condemnation speeches and expressions of
outrage, for public consumption (remember these are perfunctory
utterances, a sort of mandatory knee-jerk reactions, and nothing
more than that) but privately they (the US) will respect India for
its problem-solving efficiency and its ability to produce results.
Once this kind of techno- military competence is demonstrated by
India through observable actions, the offers of MFNS status, a
seat in the Security Council, and other diplomatic niceties cannot
be too far behind. You can bet your bottom dollar on it.
10. The inevitable question: Won't these proxy wars right inside
the heartland of Pakistan, lead to the dimemberment and
dismantling of Pakistan? Of course, they will. Remember that
Pakistan already lost Bangladesh in 1971and the ripe and rotten
apple of Pakistan is now ready for further clean-up action of the
same class of military dispatch. Pakistan is an appallingly
disgraceful nation of Islamic Empire and terrrorism is its
ultimate coin of power. Why should its demise hurt any Hindu's
feelings? We Hindus have been witness to lots of theo- political
upheavals of Islam in India during the last 1400 years. Think
about the Hindu people who lived through the barbaric horror of
Islam and Christianity and the shameful, appalling savagery of the
soldiers of Islam and Christianity in India for centuries. It is a
pity that Hindus, even at this late date, have not realized that
wars are seldom won by respectable methods, especially in times
like ours.
Pakistan is now the nursery and sanctuary of Islamic Terrorists
world-wide. It is a swine and a dirty swine at that. It is futile
to expect that Islam (or Christianity) will ever change. Islam,
like Christianity is a gospel of hate, a prison without walls, and
a ceremony of murder and there is no escape from the terror they
bring. We Hindus better understand this untidy reality fast (Of
course, the Moslems and the Christians always tout that they are
bringing the Gospel to those who are in Darkness or Jahaliyat.
This is a Damn Lie and a Deceitful Fraud behind which they conduct
their unappealing barbarism).
11. Moslems ( as also Christianis), have been tolerated and
pampered too long, far too long (1400 years). Inspite of their
sinister record of barbaric horror of centuries, these
good-for-nothing, home-grown traitors are still being treated like
Prima Donnas by the Phony-Liberal clique in India, perhaps from
the hang-over of the centuries of barbaric Islamic rule in India.
However, the only solution that will work against the massive
criminal enterprise of Islam, is through the unhesitating
retaliation from the Hindus and proxy wars that hit the soft
underbelly of Pakistan, are the easiest techniques of effectively
hitting the Gangster Bosses of Islam who manage unspeakable crimes
against humanity. These Teflon Dons have a predatory desire and a
burning ambition to snatch more converts, by whatever means
possible.
It is time for Hindus to hit these murderous machines of Islamic
(and Christian) power, these blood-thirsty ravagers, who are
crappy morally. Hindus are totally justified in throwing them all
out of India and elsewhere.
Awaken Bharat!
